Karen had come here as a child a number of times - and she wanted to see it again. We also wanted to try out our camping skills and equipment before we got too far in to the trip. As it turns out - our first night there, we pulled someone out of the sand when their van got stuck in an old fire pit.
Bahia Kino (Kino Bay): This is another popular RV & retirement spot on the gulf. We found a nice spot for a couple of days and we soaked up the sun.
San Carlos: San Carlos is another popular spot for the "gringo community". It was not exactly fishing season - but we still caught a few on our day out.
Alamos: Alamos is a beautiful colonial style town, ~50 miles inland, that has been significantly restored by the expatriate community. While we were there - we took a short tour to a local mining town (Aduna) - where we watched a local artist make a pot and then visited the brick manufacturing site.
