Santiago:  This is where we did one month of Spanish classes and a home-stay with a very nice family.

Valparaiso & Vina del Mar:  These two very different cities are situated on the coast a little over an hour away from Santiago.  We visited them both over a weekend while we were staying in Santiago.  Valparaiso is a tough port-city with lots of activity.  Vina del Mar is a resort town.

Concha Y Toro:  This is one of the largest and most respected wineries in Chile

Weekend Wine Tasting:  On this weekend, we went three hours south of Santiago in to the heart of the wine country.  We were lucky that there was a wine festival happening in Corico that weekend; it allowed us to meet some wine-makers and their families - who invited us back to their "bodega" (winery).  This was absolutely a high-point of our tip so far!
