Sydney:  This is one of the most beautiful cities that we've ever visited.  It has a great feel and charm to it.  It has everything of the biggest cities -- incredible views, great restaurants, historic and modern buildings, etc... yet is still very approachable and comfortable.  We think it would be very easy to live here.

Jervis Bay:  Our friends, Melinda and Polly that we met during our Antarctica tour, took us to a beach a few hours south of Sydney that has the whitest sand in the world!  We stayed the night at Polly's family's great little beach house, shared some yummy BBQ and some terrific Australian wine.  In addition to the beautiful beaches, we also saw our first kangaroos in the wild and got really excited about seeing colorful rosellas and lorakeets which are actually quite common birds.  Thanks Polly and Melinda... we had a fantastic time!

Great Barrier Reef:  Port Douglas was our home for 7 days while we worked to become PADI Open Water certified divers... as well as enjoy the beach and great restaurants in town.  The reef was everything it was "hyped-up" to be.  We did six dives during the last two days of our certification course... but it wasn't enough.  We'll be back for more!
